Veteran fullback Willie le Roux has reportedly been convinced to stay on at the Vodacom Bulls as back-up flyhalf.
The Springbok star is widely expected to leave Loftus when his contract expires at the end of the season, having informed the Bulls last year that he wasn’t interested in an extension.
However, the two-time World Cup winner’s potential move to Bath is believed to have fallen through, and according to Rapport, his standout cameo at flyhalf against the Lions less than two weeks ago has prompted a rethink.

With Johan Goosen struggling with injuries and few quality flyhalves available, the Bulls now want to retain Le Roux as a versatile option covering both fullback and No 10.
Former Bok playmaker Morne Steyn believes that Le Roux’s move from fullback to flyhalf could be permanent, and a successful one.
“You don’t play almost 100 Tests for nothing,” Steyn was quoted by Rapport. “Willie’s experience, composure, and kicking game mean he could do better than many flyhalves in South Africa right now.”
