Gabriel Bonfim just put Khaos Williams to SLEEP at UFC Vegas 102.

Bonfim faced Williams in a preliminary welterweight bout Saturday night. After a competitive first round, Bonfim began to assert himself in the second with crafty striking and volume. Bonfim then put a stamp on things by snatching up a D’Arce choke near the end of the round. “The Oxfighter” did his best to create space and survive the round, but Bonfim made the necessary adjustments and sent Williams to dreamland with just seconds remaining in the round.

The win is Bonfim’s fourth in the UFC and third submission, and elevates “Marretinha” to 17-1 in his career overall. The loss is Williams’s third inside the octagon and snaps a two-fight winning streak. It’s also the first time Williams has been finished in the UFC, as his previous two defeats came by way of decision. Williams drops to 15-4 overall.
