CONTRACT EXTENSION: The Dragons have announced that Wales international Elliot Dee has agreed a new long-term contract with the Newport club.
Homegrown hooker Dee – currently part of the Wales squad for the Six Nations – has been a cornerstone of the pack at Rodney Parade over the last 12 seasons.
The 30-year-old has made a total of 155 appearances for the Dragons and scored 26 tries – putting him sixth on the all-time list of try scorers at the club.
A product of the Dragons Academy, Dee featured for Wales at Under-18s and Under-20s level before winning a senior callup and making his international debut against Georgia in November 2017.
Dee played in every game of Wales’ 2019 Grand Slam campaign and 13 games during their record run of 14 successive wins from 2018/19, along with being part of the squad during the 2021 Six Nations win.
The Newbridge-born front row – who has made 52 appearances for his country – was involved in the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan and the showpiece event in 2023 in France.
