It’s tough to rank among the greats in the UFC middleweight division given how high the bar has been set.

With legendary names such as Anderson Silva, Israel Adesanya, Robert Whittaker, Chris Weidman, and more, the UFC’s 185-pound division has a rich history with some of the most incredible careers MMA has seen.

A man trying to make his own mark among the greats is current UFC middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis. The South African has defeated three former champions and is coming off a dominant unanimous decision win over Sean Strickland this past Saturday in the main event of UFC 312.

With two title defenses and several signature wins, where does Du Plessis (23-2 MMA, 9-0 UFC) stand among the middleweight greats? Has he built a foundation to potentially become the GOAT?

MMA Junkie’s Brian “Goze” Garcia, Mike Bohn, Danny Segura, and host “Gorgeous” George discuss Du Plessis’s latest victory and how his legacy currently fares against some of the legends of the weight class.
