Porsche successfully secured back-to-back victories in the Daytona 24 Hours, as ex-F1 driver Felipe Nasr brought home the #7 Porsche Penske.
It was an action-packed race which had started with considerable green flag running, with BMW having held the early lead.
However, Porsche took control during the night after the #40 Cadillac suffered a huge crash at the hands of Louis Deletraz.
As the sun rose at the Daytona International Speedway, Porsche Penske held a one-two, although BMW had yet given up.
BMW initially lost the lead in the opening hours after Dries Vanthoor crashed into the pit wall, costing the #24 car several seconds.
At the hands of former F1 driver Kevin Magnussen, BMW became a threat again; however, damage to the car saw it forced to pit for repairs in the final hour.
The outcome was a final 30-minute fight between both Porsche Penskes and the #60 Meyer Shank Racing Acura.
The #7 pulled off a daring move on its team-mate in the closing laps for victory, and quickly built a small advantage to deny any threat from behind.
It marks the second season in a row that the #7 Porsche Penske has claimed victory.
Other classes
In the other classes, it was the #8 Tower Motorsports car which completed a remarkable last-to-first in the LMP2 class.
The #8 car started the race in last, but worked its way through to win the race with ex-F1 driver Sebastien Bourdais bringing it home.
It was an F1-themed podium, as the #22 United Autosports car secured second with Paul di Resta completing the final stint. The #74 Riley completed the LMP2 podium, with its team including Felipe Massa.
In the GT classes, the #65 Ford Multimatic Motorsports car claimed a staggering GTD Pro win, in what was a dramatic final hour in the class.
It was looking like a straight fight between Corvette and BMW; however, a lapped BMW GTD Pro car purposefully blocked the lead Corvette which resulted in contact.
The #65 capitalised on the drama to claim victory, ahead of the #3 Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller which was not the car involved in the incident with BMW.
Both Ford Multimatic Motorsports cars featured on the rostrum, as the #64 which started from class pole completed the top three.
In GTD, victory was claimed by the #13 AWA Corvette, ahead of the #120 Wrights Motorsport Porsche and the #27 Heart of Racing Team Aston Martin.
