Cape Town Stadium is reportedly in line to host the world champion Springboks twice this year.
The Boks’ 2025 Rugby Championship match against the Wallabies on 23 August has already been designated for the Mother City, and now an additional home Test against Japan is likely to take place at Cape Town Stadium, according to Rapport.
It would mark the first meeting between the teams since the 2019 World Cup quarter-final in Tokyo, which the Boks won 26-3.

Getting a second Test would be a big financial boost for the Stormers, who made more than R25-million from hosting last year’s Rugby Championship match against the All Blacks.
