Not only did Red Bull and Max Verstappen thrill F1 fans at Suzuka, taking a shock victory in the Japanese Grand Prix, it also sported a stunning livery to honour Honda.

The partnership is into its final year before the global car giant joins Aston Martin and the Milton Keynes squad teams up with Ford.

Therefore, as part of a fitting tribute, it revitalised the ever-popular white livery its 2021 car adorned during the Turkish Grand Prix that season.

Post-race and post-victory in Japan, once the team began preparing its 2025 cars – the RB21 – for the next round of the campaign in Bahrain, it became clear that its white look was wrapped over its more familiar navy livery – fully set with sponsor logos and all.

It appears that, remarkably, the RB21s were carrying two full liveries all weekend, something that almost certainly increased the weight of Verstappen and Yuki Tsunoda’s cars.

Just last year, the team abandoned special liveries due to concerns over the added weight of additional paint.

Possibly for Red Bull, the increase in the minimum driver-and-car weight for 2025 (introduced to accommodate heavier drivers) made it possible to go ahead with its plans at Suzuka – and do so in such a fashion.
