Daniil Kvyat and Theo Pourchaire are two of the 11 drivers set to participate in this Thursday’s Formula E rookie session in Saudi Arabia.

The 40-minute session will take place at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit on Thursday ahead of this week’s inaugural Jeddah E-Prix.

FE has switched it’s Saudi Arabian round from Diriyah to Jeddah, at the venue best known for hosting F1 since 2021.

Kvyat, who was replaced at Red Bull by Max Verstappen ahead of the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix, will represent DS Penske in the test. As for 2023 F2 champion Pourchaire, he will drive for Maserati.

Each team must field one driver in the test, with it featuring several well-known names in the single-seater world.

Alpine Academy driver Kush Maini will represent Mahindra, whilst Aston Martin junior Zak Crawford will feature for Andretti.

Another noticeable name driving for Jaguar in the rookie session is Jamie Chadwick, who will also drive for the British manufacturer in Berlin’s rookie test later this year.

The three-time W Series champion has some experience of the new Gen3 Evo machinery, with the Briton having driven in last November’s iconic all-female test in Madrid.

Tatiana Calderon who also featured in the test, will be back in Saudi Arabia for Thursday’s rookie test with Lola Yamaha ABT.
