George Russell has called Valtteri Bottas’ return to Mercedes ‘massive’ as his experience will be key in helping Mercedes develop. The Finn will act as Mercedes’ reserve driver in 2025, also taking on some simulator duties at Mercedes’ Brackley base. The Brit also discussed how his relationship with Bottas has developed in recent years. 

Despite winning the constructors’ championship with McLarens during the 2024 Formula 1 season, the driver’s title was not on the cards for Lando Norris. Red Bull Racing CEO and team principal Christian Horner thinks that this is due to the Briton’s own mistakes. He also thinks that Norris has learned from them heading into 2025.
