Head coach Steve Borthwick is cautiously optimistic that fullback George Furbank and wing Immanuel Feyi-Waboso will return for England’s Six Nations stretch run.
Speaking after Saturday’s 26-25 victory against France at Twickenham, Borthwick confirmed Furbank, out since December with a broken arm, is awaiting a specialist’s report.
“George is going well,” he said. “He had a re-X-ray last week, and we’re waiting for the specialist’s view. Hopefully, he might be available at the end of the tournament.”

Feyi-Waboso, expected to miss the championship with a dislocated shoulder, opted against surgery and is recovering well. “He’s rehabbing well,” Borthwick revealed, leaving the door open for a return next month.
England, third in the standings before a one-week break in the tournament, remain in the title race ahead of crucial clashes against Scotland (22 February), Italy (9 March) and Wales (15 March).
