SCHOOLS WRAP: Paarl Boys’ High made a big statement as they continued their dominance at the North-South Festival in Stellenbosch.
Boishaai recorded a 25-17 win over Affies from Pretoria on Monday.
The victory is sweet revenge after last year’s heavy Wildeklawer loss to Affies.
Paarl Gim added to the Cape schools’ dominance, hammering Monument 66-16.
HTS Drostdy suffered the south’s only loss, going down 43-24 to Menlopark on Monday.
On Tuesday, Garsfontein bounced back from their weekend defeat to Paul Roos and recorded a 25-18 win over Stellenberg.
Grey College avenged their loss to Jeppe in Pretoria, beating a willing Jeppe 64-31 on Tuesday.
At the Grey High Festival in the Eastern Cape, the hosts were in fine form, securing a 20-7 win over KwaZulu-Natal rival Hilton College.
Queen’s also edged Pretoria Boys’ 17-14, while Westville beat Dale 28-13, DHS thumped Selborne 35-5, and Kearsney overturned a half-time deficit to defeat Hudson Park 41-31.
At the Glenwood High Festival, Durban High School secured a 36-17 win over Landboudal, while Jim Fouche recorded a commanding 40-26 win over DF Malan.
