Vodacom Bulls utility back David Kriel’s clutch kick to help his side register a thrilling victory over Leinster in round 13 of the Vodacom United Rugby Championship has been shortlisted for the March Gilbert Kick of the Month.
Kriel slotted in a last-gasp penalty kick which handed Leinster their first defeat of the season whilst the men from Tshwane were able to keep their charge for a top finish in the competition going. Kriel is shortlisted alongside Mack Hansen who had a thumping 50:22 from the Ireland international to give his side the lineout deep in Munster territory, Giovanni Montemauri’s stunning 40m+ drop goal effort from the Italian and Darcy Graham who had two perfectly weighted chips to send Paddy Harrison in for a try against Dragons RFC.
