Several teams hit with heavy punishments in Melbourne

Three of the 11 F2 teams have been handed significant penalties by the FIA stewards at Albert Park for an infringement during pre-season testing.

Dams Lucas Oil, Rodin and Trident were each found foul of the same rules in the championship’s regulations.

Perez backed for major motorsport return

Former F1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya has backed Sergio Perez to return to the pinnacle of motorsport next season with Cadillac. 

Cadillac will become the 11th team on the F1 grid next season as a Ferrari customer outfit, for the start of the new power unit regulations.

Lewis Hamilton ‘drowned many times’ on F1 journey

Lewis Hamilton has revealed how he “drowned many times” during his early F1 career as he prepares to embark on his career with Ferrari.

Hamilton is starting his 19th F1 season, with the Australian GP being his 357th entry, with Albert Park being the scene of his very first back in 2007 for McLaren as a 22-year-old rookie.
