Charles Leclerc went quickest during the second free practice session at Melbourne’s Albert Park Circuit, ahead of McLaren’s Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris.

The Ferrari driver went +0.124 quicker than the home hero in the first FP2 of the year, for the curtain-raising Australian Grand Prix.

High-flying Yuki Tsunoda in the Racing Bull and Lewis Hamilton finished fourth and fifth fastest, respectively. The Briton struggled during FP1, but fared better in the second hour of running.

Isack Hadjar, Max Verstappen, Nico Hulkenberg, Lance Stroll and George Russell rounded out the top 10 in the final session of the day.

After his heavy shunt in FP1, and subsequent power unit and gearbox changes, Ollie Bearman did not get out for any running, leaving the Haas rookie on the back foot for the weekend ahead.
